The series premiered on December 7, 2014. A teaser trailer aired right after the Falling Skies season finale. TNT ordered a ten-episode weekly series version of The Librarian, following the original cast that includes Noah Wyle, Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin, as well as four new characters who work for The Library.
